Technical details

PlanOp is a Windows® based application and has many of the features you would find in Windows® applications, including:

• HTML help
• multiple undo/redo
• customisable user interface
• printable views
• cut/copy paste

PlanOp is a stand alone file based application which stores data in PLZ files.

PlanOp supports versioning, comparison and histories of different scenarios.

PlanOp uses grid views very similar to Microsoft Excel® to enter data and display information and is fully compatible with Excel®.

PlanOp has many extensive visualisation, mapping and graphing tools to help in data validation and scenario analysis.

PlanOp has the capability to display and use street map data, including travel time calculations via MapX. (MapX is licensed as a separate
component through MapInfo Australia).

Platforms

PlanOp is supported under Windows® XP, NT and 2000.

Recommended specification

PlanOp is a PC based application and so can run on any Windows® based PC. We recommend at least a 3GHz processor and at least 512 MB RAM although 1 GB RAM is preferred. We also recommend at least a 19 inch monitor to harness the full power of the PlanOp visualisation tools.

Components

PlanOp uses the CPLEX optimisation library only when performing optimisations and so can be used on a machine without CPLEX to manipulate data and analyse scenarios. CPLEX can be purchased through Carmen or ILOG.

PlanOp also uses Microsoft Agent® technology to conduct online tutorials. Microsoft Agent® is available for free download from the Microsoft website.

Development

PlanOp is constantly undergoing client requested upgrades and is the subject of intensive on-going in-house product development.
